Rixos Premium Dubrovnik Collection
This collection was created specifically for Rixos Premium Dubrovnik, with the intention of capturing the quiet elegance, timeless beauty, and elemental harmony of the Adriatic coast. Each painting reflects the textures of stone, the glow of golden light at dusk, and the softness of sea breezes, translated into layered abstraction, gentle metallics, and soulful stillness.
But beyond its visual language, this collection holds something deeply personal. Two days before the paintings were scheduled to be delivered, I was walking through a street in Vienna when I saw it, a golden rosetta, lying on the pavement. Lost, or perhaps sent. I stood still. Somehow I knew it was meant for me.
That small, ancient symbol, carved in centuries-old windows across Dubrovnik, suddenly became the soul of this series. A circle of symmetry and light, the rosetta has long represented eternity, protection and sacred stillness.
That same evening, I ordered a custom stamp.
Before sending off the paintings, I pressed that symbol gently onto the back of each one, not as ornamentation, but as a private seal of gratitude and meaning.
A mark to honor the city that inspired this work, and the invisible threads that guide the creative journey.
